Welcome Parents and Students,
2009-2010 will be an exciting year! Not only will we welcome the addition of eight new classrooms, but we will also be preparing for a new gym and an updated cafeteria/auditorium. With the additions and renovations, will be some inconvenience and traffic problems. Please consider the use of bus transportation this year as we supply our construction workers with easy access to our campus as they make way for our new changes.
We would like to extend our sympathy to Mrs. Gail Wilkins family during her loss this past week. Mrs. Gail worked for our system for 19 years and the ASE family will miss her support for our office and families in need. Mrs. Wilkins was also the sister to Maria O’Keefe, one of our own.
Welcome to our new staff, Mary Beth Sessions (3rd Resource Teacher), Rebecca Molina (Gifted), Jennifer Wickliffe (PEI), and Janice Caserta (Additional Counselor). Each one of these ladies has been a welcome addition to our staff!
During the summer our PTA members Jennifer Bryant, Jennifer Penny, Emily Achee, Julie Ingrassia, and children spent many hours updating our school office area. They have added an excitement to our school year with their renovations and warm welcome for our staff! Thank you to all of you.
Some exciting news for our classrooms this year will be the addition of extra laptops, a mobile laptop lab for student instruction, exciting student engagement lessons, additional assemblies for student cultural experiences, a student technology club for instruction of community members, and additional playground equipment as we experience a loss of some of our playground area.
