Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer filled with special moments with family and friends. As we prepare to begin another exciting school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those who are new to our school community. We are thrilled to have you as part of our Abita Springs Elementary family.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences for your children. We are committed to nurturing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can lead, learn, and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

This year, we are excited to continue our Leader in Me lessons, which we believe will further enhance your child's learning experience.

Here are a few important reminders as we begin the school year:

·         First Day of School: Last name beginning A-M – August 6th

                                   Last name beginning N-Z August 7th

                                   All students – August 8th

·         School Hours: 8:05-3:45

·         Open House: August 21st

·         Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures: Please reference website for this information

Strong partnerships between home and school are vital to student success. We encourage open communication and invite you to stay connected through our teacher weekly newsletters, school website, and PTO social media.
