Before and After School Care

Abita Springs Elementary School offers Before & After School Care each school day. We pledge to make this program a much-needed convenience for our working parents as well as an educational, recreational, and socially enjoyable time for our student participants. Before School Care

Children participating in before care may be dropped off beginning at 6:30am. Before care is located in the school Cafeteria. Parents can park near the front circle of school and must walk their child to the building. The student must be signed in by a parent and/or guardian.

After School Care

Children may participate in after care from 3:35 PM until 5:30 PM. This program offers supervised play, some quiet time for homework, and a snack. We do not provide after care on school holidays or on half days. Students must be signed out by a parent and/or guardian showing a picture ID. Students are only allowed to be picked up by persons listed on their aftercare form. During this time students will be offered assistance with homework and a snack will be provided. If students are not picked up by 5:30 PM, a late fee will be charged based on amount the amount of time after 5:30 PM. If parents are habitually late for picking up their child, your child may not be allowed to attend after school care.
Where: All After School Care students will be located in the Cafeteria.

PAYMENT

There will be a $25.00 registration fee per family FOR AFTERCARE. Parents may choose to pay WEEKLY OR monthly. Children with outstanding late fees will not be allowed to participate in the program until all fees are paid in full.

ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE ON MY PAYMENTS PLUS BY MONDAY MORNING OF EACH WEEK.

** Please note, if you have a past due balance from the previous school year, it will be due at registration along with this year's tuition and registration fees.

- $45 a week per child
After Care
- $55 a week per child

Late Pick-Up Fees

A $10.00 late pick-up fee will be charged for each 15 minutes (1-15 minutes; 16-30 minutes; 31-45 minutes, etc.) when the parent/guardian is late in picking up each of his/her children. After arriving late 3 times, your child will not be allowed to attend After Care.

Discipline Policy

To ensure the safety of all children, every student is expected to follow the ASE rules and regulations. All must adhere to these rules and regulations to continue to participate in the program. Students who consistently choose to act in an inappropriate manner at Before or After School Care will not be allowed to attend. Severe infractions or 3 write ups will warrant immediate removal from the program. **There will be NO REFUNDS of Before or After care fees issued. **
